Winter Weather Spotter Training
The Bay County Emergency Management Division will once againpartner with the National Weather Service (NWS) and offer a WinterWeather Spotter Training on November 9th, at 7:00 p.m. at the Bay CountyCommunity Center. During this FREE program, participants will learnfrom certified representatives of the NWS on when, where and how toaccurately report winter weather. Everyone is potentially at risk duringwinter storms and the actual threat depends on your situation.
BayCounty encourages anyone with an interest in public service to attendthis training program. Volunteers include police and fire personnel,dispatchers, EMS workers, public utility workers and other concernedprivate citizens. Individuals affiliated with hospitals, schools,churches, nursing homes or who have a responsibility for protectingothers are also encouraged to become a spotter.
