Community Center Pool
The Community Center swimming pool is a 444,000 gallon outdoor pool; it is the only outdoor pool accessible to the public in Bay County. Our pool program provides a safe and enjoyable environment for individuals and families. A handicap ramp makes the pool accessible for all users and pool staff can provide assistance as needed.
The Community Center swimming pool is seasonal, generally open from mid-June through mid-August. Swim lessons are offered in the morning and early evening; other times the pool is open for public swimming.
2020 Pool Season - Closed.
The Bay County Community Center has made the very tough decision to close the pool and cancel the Summer Recreation program for 2020. This decision weighed heavily on us for many days as we tried to balance the safety of our staff and patrons, the CDC recommended guidelines, and the monetary budget issues that this pandemic has created for all of us. We strongly believe that recreational programs are a pillar of this community. Recreation increases quality of life and provides social and physical wellness for our residents. That’s why this decision was so difficult to make.
We will get through this pandemic together. And, our Recreation team here at Bay County is anxiously awaiting the days we can have all our programming back in the building, hear the joyous children playing and providing a place where social and physical wellness can thrive.
