County government is no different than any other organization when it comes to the area of technology. The county recognizes the requirement to provide user departments with a centralized resource where they can receive assistance in creating innovative solutions to their needs through the use of technology.

Established in 1979, the Information Systems Division has been serving county departments in procuring hardware, software, and support for the various systems that serve departments and the public. It is also a major resource for maintaining both the county's Technology Plan and Disaster Recovery Plan.

Staff Profile
The Information Systems Division's staff consists of an Information Systems Manager, Business Process Analyst, Systems Administrator, Programmer and technical service personnel.

Programmer/Analysts are responsible for system analysis and programming of the internal systems maintained by the county. These individuals are responsible for over 1.25 million lines of code which maintain over 8,500 programs and files used by various departments.

The technical support area operates the county's centralized Help Desk operations and provides support for personal computers, terminals, printers, computer systems, and servers.
