My-ID Program to begin in Bay County October 2022

The Bay County Department on Aging in collaboration with Bay County Central Dispatch and Bay County Information Systems Division is excited to announce that the My-ID Program will be coming to our Bay County Residents 60 years and better in October 2022. This program is provided in collaboration with the “Miles for Memories” program started by Calhoun County Dispatch Authority.

When a loved one is registered with the My-ID program through the Department on Aging, they can then be identified through either scanning the QR code on the back of the bracelet or by calling 911 Central Dispatch and giving the ID and Pin number. With the information provided, authorities like Bay County Central Dispatch are able to get in touch with the emergency contact to bring your loved one home without an unnecessary trip to the emergency room.

Take the time to call Bay County Department on Aging and sign up to attend one of our presentations at our meal sites in October to learn more about the My-ID Program. There is no cost for this program and the only requirement is that either the Caregiver and/or Care Receiver is 60 years and better and a Bay County resident.

To sign up for one of our presentations please call Bay County Department on Aging at 989-895-4100.
