My Community Dental Centers Now Open & Offering Affordable & Quality Care in Bay City

BAY COUNTY, MICH. – My Community Dental Center’s (MCDC), Michigan-based nonprofit dental organization and the Bay County Health Department is celebrating the opening of their new dental center in Bay City.

The dental center, located at 2614 Center Avenue Bay City, MI 48708, is in the plaza neighboring Little Caesar’s and Family Dollar. The center will provide dental services to Medicaid enrollees, Healthy Kids Dental, Healthy Michigan Plan, low-income uninsured and those with private insurance seeking a dental home. MCDC is a self-sustaining operation and there are no costs to Bay County Government for the delivery of care.

“This is great news for the residents of Bay County as we celebrate this partnership with My Community Dental Centers and the Bay County Health Department to ensure that our local citizens have access to affordable and quality dental care, said Bay County Executive Jim Barcia. In the first week that it has been open, the clinic has already received 180 requests for dental appointments which demonstrates the vital need for expanding dental care in our community”.

This six-chair center offers comprehensive dental services including oral exam/cleanings, fillings, tooth removal, partials, dentures, and other dental procedures. The center will welcome existing MCDC team members, including Dr. Roseanne Rayyan, with nearly 20 years combined dental experience with MCDC. The dental groups model focuses on the patient dental experience, emphasizing preventative care, education and increasing access of overall quality oral health care.

We believe that everyone deserves a healthy smile and access to dental care that is provided with dignity and respect.”

Leading up to the opening of the center, the MCDC has partnered with a number of organizations to assist families throughout the county by distributing nearly 1,000 oral health care products with partners including the United Way and the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan. MCDC also offers My Dental Program (MyDP) for those without dental insurance, which provides reduced fees based on household income. An initial exam with x-rays will be $39 for new patients. The Bay City Center is currently welcoming patients, with operational hours Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The organization plans to celebrate the community's newest health care offering in the Spring of 2021.
