Information on County Facilities Opening to the Public

In compliance with the Governor’s Executive Order, Bay County will open our buildings to the public starting Monday, June 8, 2020. In order to protect the health of our employees and constituents, Bay County is requesting that everyone entering our facilities practice good hygiene, wash their hands upon entry and use sanitizer often. Masks are strongly encouraged in all County facilities. And most importantly, if you are not feeling well or if you are experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19, please stay home.

The Department on Aging will be offering Curbside Take Out Meals at our Riverside Center (800 JFK Drive) every Monday-Friday. A hot meal will be offered for you to come and pick up between 12:00 noon and 1:00 PM. Please call the Riverside Center (893-7070) at least one day in advance to reserve your meal by 2:30 PM. (To reserve for Mondays you will need to call by the previous Wednesday). For more information, please call the Main Office.
All activities and meetings at the Department on Aging Congregate Meal Sites remain canceled and all Activity Centers are closed.

Veteran Affairs

Bay County Health Department

The Health Department facility is currently available for certain services on a limited basis, Monday through Friday 8:30-4:00 PM. Persons who enter the building will be required to wear a face mask or covering and maintain social distancing. Individuals who are sick will not be allowed in the building. Many services can still be accomplished via televisit or car side. Our programs and services are available as follows:

Immunizations: Opens on week of June 15 at Bay County Civic Arena. By appointment only. Please call895-4009, ext. 2 for more details.
Women, Infant and Children (WIC): By appointment only, televisits are available. Please call 895-4002 for more details.
Environmental Health: In facility services continue on a limited basis. Inspections, permits and other services are available. Please call 895-4006, ext. 3 for more information. Application forms should be completed prior to visiting, in order to minimize the number of people waiting in line. Residents are asked to be patient as some processes have changed due to COVID-19. Longer wait times are anticipated to process permits and perform and schedule inspections.
Medical Examiner: Autopsy reports are available upon request. Please call 895-4009 for more details.

Community Corrections
Testing for all programs will resume Wednesday, June 10th. If you need punch cards, the Bay County Sheriff's office will be open Monday, June 8th at 8AM. Please mail all filings to the court at 1230 Washington Avenue, Bay City, Michigan 48708. Drop off of filings at the front door only is permitted Monday through Friday 9AM to 3PM.
