Center Ridge Arms Receives High Performer Designation

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has rated the Bay County Housing Department's public housing program,Center Ridge Arms, as a "High Performer" under the Public HousingAssessment System (PHAS) for the fiscal year 2014. The Bay CountyHousing Department is among a select number of housing authorities, ofthe approximately 3,300 across the United States, to achieve andmaintain this prominent designation.

The PHAS is designed tomeasure the management performance of all public housing authorities(PHAs) nationwide. It took effect October 1, 1998 and the first ratingswere issued for 1999.

The PHAS rated the Bay County HousingDepartment on four key indicators, which included physical, financial,management and capital fund. Bay County earned a 98 out of a maximumscore of 100 for 2014. This is ten points higher than the HousingDepartment PHAS score in 2013. Center Ridge Arms was built in 1983 withfunds provided by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.The facility is a five story apartment building comprised of 100, onebedroom units.
