The United States is the number one trash-producing country in the world. In fact, the average American family of four produces over three tons of garbage annually. As part of the effort to help keep Bay County green, take a look at the new Recycling Information page. It identifies area businesses and organizations that will gladly accept items for recycling -- everything from aluminum, newspaper, corrugated cardboard, and glass, to antifreeze, automotive batteries, motor oil, computers, and smoke detectors.
