Public Meeting Notice: To Fill Vacancy of County Treasurer, May 8, 2022

IN ACCORDANCE WITH MCLA 168.209(2) PROBATE JUDGE JAN MINER, COUNTY CLERK KATHLEEN ZANOTTI, AND PROSECUTOR NANCY BORUSHKO, SHALL CONVENE TO APPOINT AN INDIVIDUAL TO FILL A VACANCY WHEN A COUNTYWIDE ELECTED OFFICE IS VACATED PRIOR TO THE EXPIRATION OF THEIR TERM OF OFFICE. THE BAY COUNTY TREASURER, SHAWNA WALRAVEN, HAS ANNOUNCED HER RESIGNATION EFFECTIVE MAY 3, 2022.

ON MONDAY, MAY 9, 2022, AT 12:00 P.M. AN ORGANIZATIONAL SESSION WILL BE HELD IN THE IN THE FOURTH FLOOR COMMISSION CHAMBERS, BAY COUNTY BUILDING, 515 CENTER AVENUE, BAY CITY, MICHIGAN 48708. AT THE ORGANIZATIONAL MEETING, THE PANEL WILL SET PROCEDURE, APPLICATION ACCEPTANCE DEADLINES, AND INTERVIEW/APPOINTMENT DATES.

The County of Bay will provide necessary and reasonable auxiliary aids and services, such as signers for the hearing impaired and audiotapes of printed materials being considered at the meeting, to Individuals with disabilities at the meeting/hearing upon ten days’ notice to the County of Bay. Madison Avenue and Center Avenue entrances to the Bay County Building are locked from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 a.m. (Closed Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.) After hours, access for meetings is available only through the barrier-free Fifth Street access door (at rear of the building) which has adjacent parking. An elevator is available to reach meeting rooms on any floor.
