March 17th Board of Commissioners Meeting Relocated

Out of an abundance of caution and, to prevent and contain the spread of the COVID-19 (coronavirus disease 2019), the Personnel/Human Services Board meeting and Board of Commissioners Special Board Meeting originally scheduled to take place at the Board of Commissioners Chambers on the Fourth Floor of the Bay County Building (515 Center Avenue, Bay City, MI) at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 will be relocated.

To better allow for the 6 foot separation between individuals recommended by the Center for Disease Control, the meetings will now take place in the gymnasium of the Bay County Community Center (800 John F. Kennedy Drive, Bay City, MI).  The Personnel/Human Services meeting will begin at 4 p.m. with the Board of Commissioners Special meeting immediately following. 

To further prevent the spread of the virus, Bay County is also encouraging its constituents to view this meeting remotely, via the live stream on YouTube as opposed to attending in person.  You can view Bay County’s YouTube Channel at https://www.youtube.com/baycountymi

Please remember in order to reduce the spread of COVID-19 follow the following are recommendations from the Center of Disease Control:

  1. Wash your hands often with soap and water or use hand sanitizer.
  2. Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth with unwashed hands.
  3. Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when coughing or sneezing.
  4. Avoid handshakes.
  5. Avoid contact with people who are sick.
  6. Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces.
  7. IF YOU ARE SICK, STAY HOME.
