Bay County Health Department Partners with My Community Dental Centers on Kindergarten Round Up Event
BAY COUNTY, MICHIGAN – The Bay County Health Department is partnering with My Community Dental Centers to host a Kindergarten Round Up event on Saturdays, August 5 and August 26 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The event will take place at the health department located at 1200 Washington Ave., Bay City MI, 48708.
Both events will provide the following services to kindergarten-aged children: hearing and vision screenings, dental assessments, immunizations, lead testing, and hemoglobin testing. If there is need for further follow up after a child’s assessment, staff will make referrals to providers in the area for parents to continue their child’s care.
A parent or legal guardian must be accompanied with all children receiving healthcare services. Please remember to bring your driver’s license and insurance cards. Families on Medicaid are eligible.
“We are excited to offer these events to our community to ensure all children are healthy and ready for the upcoming school year,” says Joel Strasz, Health Officer from the Bay County Health Department. “We encourage those who are eligible to attend and follow up on any referrals made to providers.”
