Did you know that the Bay County Sheriff’s Office/Bay County Law Enforcement Center in downtown Bay City has a prescription drug drop-box in the lobby? Simply drop unused prescription drugs in the red lock box during office hours, Monday through Friday, between 8am and 4:30pm.

Bay County Sheriff Troy Cunningham said it is especially important to dispose of unwanted prescription meds as the County is in the grips of a heroin epidemic, and addicts will frequently
look through medicine cabinets looking for opiate-based painkillers.
