The Bay County Gypsy Moth Suppression Program Staff want to remind you that fall is an excellent time to shop for perennial plants, trees and shrubs. Fall planting encourages good root development, allowing the plants to get established before spring. If weather is dry, be sure to provide water for your plants up until the ground freezes.

DO NOT fertilize your trees and flowering shrubs during September as plants are winding down for the season so they can harden off before winter.
