Doxpop Property Watch

Bay County, Michigan - Brandon Krause, Bay County Register of Deeds, is implementing a safeguard to protect Bay County property owners from property theft and fraud. The new system, Doxpop Property Watch, will become available starting June 1, 2020 to all Bay County Residents. Once a property owner is registered in the Doxpop system, Property Watch will notify the property owner, vie email of text message, when that property owner's recorded property has been transferred. The new system is 100% free to the resident of Bay County and was procured at no cost to the taxpayers of Bay County. Multiple parcels can be registered under the new system for those residents that have several properties throughout the county.

With the influx of property theft cases in southern Michigan counties and across the nation, Brandon Krause, the Register of Deeds for Bay County, has needed to take this preventative step to stay ahead of those that with to fraudulently obtain property from Bay County residents.

On June 1, 2020 a postcard will be mailed to every residence in Bay County with information about Doxpop Property Watch and the hyperlink to sign up for this valuable protection. Brandon Krause strongly urges all residents of Bay County to take advantage of this free service. If you need assistance to find your parcel numbers please follow the link below to the Bay County Register of Deeds website and click on "property tax query".
