Bay County Commissioners Approve 2016 Budget

The Bay County Board of Commissioners unanimously passed the 2016 annualbudget on December 8, 2015, during the Board of Commissioners meeting.The approved budget of approximately $129,000,000 and includes a General Operating Fund of $33,888,195.

Overall,the budget is a continuation of past fiscal policy by ouradministration and the Board of Commissioners to maintain the level ofdirect services to the public. It is important to mention that thisbalanced budget will result in no increase in property taxes,elimination of programs or cuts to services. It is only through thecooperative efforts of Bay County's elected officials, departmentdirectors and staff that we were successful in achieving a balancedbudget.
