The African American Environmentalist Association (AAEA)

Founded in 1985, The African American Environmentalist Association (AAEA) is a national, nonprofit environmental organization dedicated to protecting the environment, enhancing human, animal and plant ecologies, promoting the efficient use of natural resources and increasing African American participation in the environmental movement.

Ann Arbor Clean Cities Coalition
The Ann Arbor Area Clean Cities Coalition is a public/private partnership formed to initiate the infrastructure and increase demand for alternative fueled vehicles within Washtenaw County, Michigan, with the goals of improving air quality, reducing dependence on imported oil, and empowering the businesses and residents of the community to move towards creating a more sustainable community.

American Council for an Energy Efficient Economy
The American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to advancing energy efficiency as a means of promoting economic prosperity, energy security, and environmental protection. ACEEE fulfills its mission by: Conducting in-depth technical and policy assessments; Advising policymakers and program managers; Working collaboratively with businesses, public interest groups, and other organizations; Organizing conferences and workshops; Publishing books, conference proceedings, and reports; Educating consumers and businesses.

Bangor Township Green Team
The purpose of the "Green Team" is to educate and encourage our community to be more ecology minded. Our goal is to help people find ways to conserve energy, save money and work together to make our Township an active leader in the "Green Movement". We believe that working hand-in-hand for GREEN will make our community a better place to live, work and play.

City of Portland Waste Prevention and  Recycling
Founded in 2000, the City of Portland Office of Sustainable Development (OSD) brings together community partners to promote a healthy and prosperous future for Portland. OSD advances improvements and innovation in reducing global warming emissions, energy efficiency and renewable energy,  biofuels, waste reduction and recycling, sustainable economic development, sustainable food systems and green building practices.

Cool Earth
Cool Earth is a charity that protects endangered rainforest to combat global warming, protect ecosystems and provide sustainable jobs for local people. Working with partners throughout the Amazon, Cool Earth secures rainforest, helps protect it around the clock and ensures communities benefit from keeping the forest standing. Sponsoring an acre of rainforest with Cool Earth challenges global warming.

Michigan Recycling Coalition
The Michigan Recycling Coalition (MRC) is a non-profit environmental organization whose mission is to foster effective resource use in Michigan by developing, supporting and educating a coalition of business, government, non-profit and individual members working toward the common goals of waste reduction, recycling, reuse, composting and recycled-content purchasing.

Mid Michigan E-Waste
Performs environmentally friendly recycling using de-manufacturing and asset recovery. Computers, monitors, terminals, printed circuit boards, telephone equipment, Cell Phones, Electronics and communications systems that are unusable are disassembled into component parts. Components of value are sold for reuse, and other parts are sent to certified facilities for metals recovery. All items from the de-manufacturing process are recycled. Even items with no value are recycled at MME’s expense. Using Do-All Incorporated anon-profit agency in Bay City Michigan, You can feel good that your recycled electronics are helping individuals with disabilities obtain employment in the Great Lakes Bay Region. Do-All performs all the de-manufacturing of electronics ensuring that nothing you donate ever ends up in a landfill.

NAHB National Green Building Program
Through the National Green Building Program, the National Association of Home Builders is helping its members move the practice of green building into the mainstream. Energy efficiency, water and resource conservation, sustainable or recycled products, and indoor air quality are increasingly incorporated into the everyday process of home building.

The National Recycling Coalition
The National Recycling Partnership (NRP) is a coalition committed to improving recycling programs in the United States and reinvigorating recycling among consumers. Under the direction of the National Recycling Coalition (NRC),grocery, food and beverage producers and retailers are engaged in two major initiatives to maximize the potential of recycling programs nationwide.

U.S. Green Building Council
The U.S. Green Building Council is a 501(c)(3) non-profit community of leaders working to make green buildings available to everyone within a generation.

World Environmental Organization
The World Environmental Organization (World.Org) is devoted to the preservation of the natural diversity of plant and animal species, and their habitats, through the prevention of environmental degradation and destruction. World.Org develops and implements scientific strategies for decreasing fossil fuel use, preventing climate change, and preserving plant and animal species and their habitats.
