The friendly, caring staff of the Family Planning Clinic will be happy to answer your questions about birth control,
sexually transmitted diseases and other health concerns. Our purpose is to help you choose the best contraceptive method to suit your lifestyle.
The Family Planning Clinic provides women with a method of birth control that matches their lifestyle. The services provided in the clinic are aimed at preventing unplanned or unwanted pregnancies and preventing the spread of sexually transmitted disease. The clinic has many types of birth control. Information about each method is provided, so the one that is the best for each woman can be chosen. Women are taught to use each birth control method effectively to reduce the risk of pregnancy. Other reproductive health services such as breast exams, PAP smears, tests for sexually transmitted diseases and blood pressures are also provided.

Maintain women's health by early detection of health problems through routine screening and exam -
Provide services for low-income women who may lack insurance or other means for obtaining such services

General Health Assessment -
Pap and pelvic exams -
Prescription and non-prescription methods of birth control (all FDA approved methods) -
Pregnancy testing and counseling -
Preconceptual counseling including lifestyle behaviors that will lead to a healthy pregnancy -
Risk assessment for hepatitis B and other sexually transmitted diseases -
Sexually transmitted infection testing, diagnosis and treatment -
HIV risk assessment, counseling and referral for testing -
Reproductive health education -
Sterilization counseling and referral for tubals and vasectomies (free or low cost) -
Referrals to other programs within the Health Department such as WIC, Maternal Support Services, and Immunizations -
Referrals to an outside provider for an identified medical, social, or financial problem

If you do not have health insurance you may qualify for the
PlanFirst program to cover your family planning expenses.

The fees for services are based on all household income for the past 12 months. Payment is expected at the time of service. Please do not bring small children to your appointment. We also accept Medicaid. Please bring your Medicaid card and a picture I.D. with you for your visit.
