2008 Women's County Tournament
Ladies with one year under our belt with our new format, the Women's County is moving in the right direction. We had a GROSS and NET champion crowned for 2008. For those that do not know what this means let me explain.
Lets say you average 110 for 18 holes, with our new division if you go out and shoot 110 and we apply your handicap (38 in this case) your NET score is 72. That's right you shot even par. This allows everyone to play from a level playing field. To sum it up, we have 2 divisions gross and net. You will be placed in whatever division you place the highest in. It's a win-win combination.
Our number one goal is still the same to go out and have a great time at the Bay County Golf Course.

Kris Popp

TOTAL 158 +14
Kris proves she is consistently the best woman golfer in Bay County. Kris wins the Gross division again with a 158 thirty-six hole total matching her 2007 total. Time and time again Kris keeps putting herself on top of women's golf in our area. We would like to extend another Congratulations to a great competitor!!

Norma Kinsey

Norma and her husband Gary matched each other both winning County titles. Gary won the senior title for his age group while Norma blew away the field in the NET division. Norma played an incredible first round giving her a net score of 10 under par 62. She followed it up with another great score of 70 to go to 12 under for the tournament.What can we say Norma got hot and took home the title! Great Playing Norma!!
