Respite Care

895-4005  and  895-4100

Family and caregivers who provide primary care to homebound individuals can find some relief with the Respite Care Program.  The Respite Care Program provides companionship and supervision for the individual for a short time within the home.  The service is provided by Bay County Division on Aging.  At least one person in the relationship (i.e., caregiver or care recipient) must be age 60 or older.  The primary goal is to allow the family member or caregiver a needed break or rest.  The service is provided seven days a week, beginning with two-hour increments.  No services are scheduled after 9:00 p.m. and no overnight service is provided.  Services are provided on a cost-share basis with families.
