Senior Tax Credit Program

Bay County Department on Aging in cooperation with the VITA Program, through the United Way of Bay County will be offering tax credit assistance to our local Bay County Senior population.  This program is free to Bay County Seniors who need assistance with State Forms and/or State Tax Credits, which include Home Heating Credit Claims, Homestead Property Tax Credit Claims, Simple Federal Tax Returns who income is less than $43,000 dollars in household income. 

Dates of Clinics:  Thursday Afternoons - 12:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.
by appointment only and running January 28 - April 15, 2010.

To schedule an appointment call the United Way Office (989) 893-7508 ext 19 and ask for the Riverside Center Location.

Clinic to be held:  Riverside Center, 800 J. F. Kennedy Dr, Bay City, 48706, North Side Parking Lot.

Noon lunches available to all seniors 60 years and better by reserving 24 hours in advance of appointment and calling Sandy at (989) 893-7070.  Suggested donation for noon lunch is $2.50.

A list of all information needed for completion of forms can be obtained by calling Sandy also.

All returns will be e filed at no fee.  Any Seniors who are homebound can call and request our Senior Tax Homebound Service by contacting Debbie at (989) 893-7070 ext 2.
